NAKIVO Backup & Replication v10.6: Enhanced Data Protection with Greater Coverage
We are happy to announce the launch of NAS Backup, the latest addition to our data protection ecosystem, together with the release of NAKIVO Backup & Replication v10.6, loaded with features and enhanced capabilities!
NAS Backup from NAKIVO simplifies the protection of file share data on NAS devices, Windows servers, and Linux servers. Now, with the new NAS Backup from NAKIVO, you can back up full network shares, as well as individual folders within the file shares with the NFS v3, SMB v2 and SMB v3 protocols.
The latest 10.6 release delivers expanded and improved protection against data loss and ransomware attacks with:
- Backup from HPE Nimble Storage snapshots: Back up VMware vSphere VMs directly from storage snapshots instead of regular VM snapshots to boost backup performance.
- Microsoft 365 Groups backup: Protect more of your Microsoft 365 resources to avoid losing sensitive data. Back up group mailboxes and sites and restore what you need, when you need it.
- Hardened AMI: Add a layer of ransomware protection to your data with immutability. Deploy NAKIVO Backup & Replication as a pre-configured AMI (Amazon Machine Image) running Ubuntu Server and enable immutability for recovery points sent to a local repository deployed as part of the AMI.
- External Database support: Prevent corruption in the built-in database of NAKIVO Backup & Replication that might occur in large environments. Migrate to an existing PostgreSQL database or create a new one to improve reliability and avoid disruptions.
